Recipe Organizer Tutorial

Thanks so much for keeping me through the kitchen week. It was a rather interesting week and I am glad that I made it!!! The votes were super close all week!

Take a ribbon and measure it to the length you like. Either put it over your pantry door or your cupboard door so You can see how you need it! Then fray check the ends.

Glue on a clip. I got this one from Ikea. You can get metal clips at the office store as well!

Then glue on seven clips to the opposite end of the ribbon. I got these off of hangers made to hang pants. I like them because they pinch together better than clothespins. But clothespins would work as well! I had mine open every other direction.

Then get two silk flowers. You want the flower to be extra full so take them apart. Pull of the back and then the petals of the flower you want underneath. Pull the center off the petals. You can discard the back and the center.

Take the flower you want in the front and pull of the back. Leave the rest together.

Layer the new petals on top of the original petals.

Snap the back of the flower back on.

Hot glue the flower onto the ribbon where the clip is.

Turn it over and there you have it your flower clip.

Paint four rectangles. I bought these in a package at the craft store just like this. Then when they are dry give them a light sanding for that weathered look.

Paint on your words. I made the back say Daily Recipes. And the front say A recipe a day keeps the fast food away. But you could do anything really...(sugar and spice makes everything nice, the kitchen is the center of our home, etc.)

With a permanent marker write each day of the week on a clip. I started with Monday, because that's the day I go grocery shopping, and so I have groceries for meals from Monday to Sunday!

On the back of the ribbon hot glue the daily recipes rectangle over the weekly clips.

Hot glue your saying rectangles in place on the front of the ribbon on top of the flower.

Now all you need to do is add your weeks worth of recipes!

On the front you can clip the current recipe while you are cooking, a note, or even your apron!

There you have it!
