While I was competing in So You Think You're Crafty one of my fellow competitors Kalleen, made a dinosaur land suitcase! It was adorable, and I so wanted my boys to have one. But two things. My boys would NEVER share one suitcase, and my boys don't play with dinosaurs. It's all about Lego guys here. So using Kalleen's Case for inspiration we got creating ours.
I used their crayola coloring kit cases that we had. All of their coloring items are in their cubby's!
I sprayed the entire inside with spray foam. I made some higher hills and some lower water holes. Don't spray to high because you will need to shut it, and the foam will expand a little bit more as it dries. The hills that I made on one side I made sure were lakes on the other so they would fit together.
What a good idea! I love that foam stuff, used it to make creepy Halloween decorations...
ReplyDeleteThat's very nice play case you have. Kids will definitely love to have such a wonderful colors to play with.
ReplyDeleteVery cute. Now age 21, my son and his childhood best friend have an annual ritual. Our family holds Thanksgiving dinner at our Adirondack mountain 'camp' each year. After dinner at his own home, the friend joins us at camp so the boys can get up early to head off to climb one of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks on Friday morning. No TV, no internet there! The 'boys' stay up into the wee hours of the morning building with Legos: massive flying machines, great towers with sophisticated engineering, etc. They will never be too old for Legos!
ReplyDeleteGreat Idea! My 5 year old twins will love this!
ReplyDeleteThis is too good!!! What a FUN thing for them to create to play with! Just super!
