Are you sick of costumes yet??? Well, October is almost here, and I'm almost done... so bare with me on a few more... This one I love... and I wish I had a little girl... But I don't so we won't dwell on that will we...
Grab yourself some purple fabric. Cut it to the length you want the skirt. Yes, the exact length. Then cut it so it fits the waist measurement. Yes, the exact waist measurement. Then add some lace to the bottom.
Then grab some other purple fabric. Cut it to half the waist measurement and 4 inches shorter than the length of the other purple fabric piece.
Sew the sides to the other purple piece. It will be 4 inches shorter than the piece.
Then grab another purple piece. Cut it 5 inches by the half the waist measurement. Sew it to the shortened middle piece.
Now lets add some decor. Take purple scrap fabric and circle them in the center piece of the skirt.
Sew them in place.
Sew on an elastic waistband to the top. And there you have it. The skirt to your Rapunzel Costume.
