Send them outside and you won't see them all afternoon! These are super easy to do and would make great Birthday and Christmas Presents for every little boy you know!
Let's get started, shall we?
First thing, grab a 1/2 inch 10 foot pvc pipe. Cut it into thirds. That's 40 inches for each one. One 10 foot pvc pipe makes three bows.
Then grab a saw and cut a little grove into both ends of the pipes. The groves need to be facing the same way as the arch. And both ends need to be the same direction, so you can put a string from the top to the bottom.
Decorate your pipe with Electricians tape, or Washi tape.
Then heat the ends and push them into the middle of the pipe so they don't come out.
Take a piece of kite string and tie the end in a knot. Slide it down into one of the groves on the end of the pipe. The knot will go to the side away from the arch.
Then cut the string so it's about 1/2 inch longer than the other end of the pipe.
Tie it in a knot.
Push the end of the pipe down so the arch bends more and slip the knot into the two groves on the other end, this makes the string nice and tight to shoot the arrows with.
And there you have it. A bow.
Or in my case, allot of them.
Cut them in half.
Cut a slit in the end with a saw.
Grab a pool noodle and cut of 2 inches.
Then cut it in half.
Then cut them into points, or arrow heads.
Gut the centers out using scissors.
You want it to be thing. You can discard the insides.
Cut both sides so they match.
Grab one and put hot glue all over it. Sandwich the end of the dowel without the slit in between two. Make sure the slit in the dowel is the opposite direction of the arrowhead.
And there you have it. Your arrows.
Now give them to your boys and take cover.
