Since last year we were moving into our home on Halloween, literally on Halloween I didn't get a chance to decorate. So this year, I pulled out all my old décor and added some new. Like this Black Feathered Wreath.
Feathered wreaths can be very expensive, but making one yourself can be cheap and it's oh so easy... Grab yourself a hot glue gun, a metal wreath form, and two boas... plus if you want a feathered crow grab one of those as well...
Lay your wreath form down on a flat surface.
Cut the tags off of your two boas.
Wrap the feathered boas around in the circle using hot glue to attach it to the metal rings.
Here is an up close view... Run a bead of hot glue on the wire circles and press the feathered boa down onto it securing the feathers.
Continue until you have gone around the wreath form completely two times. This gives it a nice full feathery look.
If you have a bird attach it to the wreath form where you would like it. I put mine on the bottom right using the wires that were attached to the birds feet.
I also added some purple pumpkin bells to the same nail I hung the wreath from to give it a pop of color.
I ended up not hanging my wreath on the door but up above my door with pennant flags to complete the look. I'm loving it. What do you think?
